Research Highlights

Dr. Sangram Ray, Associate Professor, Department of CSE, has received a collaborative R&D Project grant of Rs. 2.423 Crore for 3 years from ICMR, Govt. of India.

Dr. Reshmi Dhara, Assistant Professor in the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE), NIT Sikkim, has been awarded a research grant of ₹95,100 for a duration of one year project by RACS–ISRO in April 2026. She will serve as the Principal Investigator (PI) for the project titled “Dual-Band Quad-Mode Reflectarray for Ka-Band HTS Payload Architecture.”

Dr. Hemant Kumar Kathania, Assistant Professor, Department of ECE, has received sanction in January 2026, for a grant of Rs. 96.58 Lakhs for 3 years from ANRF-ARG for a project on "Swar Shiksha: Voice-Powered Learning in Indian Languages for Visually Impaired Children" in collaboration with NIT Patna.

Dr. Om Prakash, Assistant Professor, Department of Mathematics, has received sanction in January 2026, for a grant of Rs. 30 Lakhs for 5 years from ANRF-ARG MATRICS for a project on "Design and Analysis of the Sustainable Inventory Model for a Central Warehouse Multiple Retailer Under Restricted and Non-Restricted Deliveries Constraints and Carbon Emissions"

Mr. Mannu Yadav, Research Scholar in the Department of Mechanical Engineering under the supervision of Dr. Anil Lal S and Dr. Shambhunath Barman, has been awarded the Best Paper Presentation Award at ICAMCFD 2026, held at MNNIT Allahabad, in recognition of his outstanding research on multi-body potential-flow interactions.

Mr. Chandan Kumar, a research scholar under the supervision of Dr. Md. Sarfaraj Alam Ansari in the Department of Computer Science & Engineering, has been awarded an International Travel Grant by the ANRF, Government of India, to present his research paper at the 25th Asia-Pacific Network Operations and Management Symposium (APNOMS), held from 22–24 September at National Sun Yat-sen University, Kaohsiung, Taiwan.

Dr. Bam Bahadur Sinha, Assistant Professor, Department of Computer Science & Engineering, NIT Sikkim, has received the Best Paper Award at the 6th International Conference on Data Analytics & Management (ICDAM-2025), held from June 13 to 15, 2025, at London Metropolitan University, UK.

Mr. Sayan Sengupta, a PhD Scholar from the Department of Physics, has been awarded the Best Poster Award in the Poster Presentation Competition at PHYCON-25, held on March 21-22, 2025, and organized by the Department of Physics, IIT Ropar.

Dr. Sangram Ray has received the Best Paper Award in the "Network Security" track in the prestigious 6th Springer International Conference MIND - 2024, held at NIT Goa, India, from December 20-21, 2024.

Dr. Ankush Kumar has been awarded the prestigious Bihar PWD Medal from the Indian Roads Congress (IRC) for the best paper award on "Road Research" for the research paper discussed during the 82nd IRC Annual Session at Gandhinagar (Gujarat) and conferred the medal during the 83rd IRC Annual Session at Raipur (Chhattisgarh) from Shri Nitin Gadkari (Union Cabinet Minister of Road Transport & Highways, Government of India) on 8th November 2024.

Dr. Sangram Ray has received the Best Paper Award in the prestigious 6th ACM International Conference IECC 2024, held at Kyushu University, Fukuoka, Japan, from July 19-21, 2024.

Dr. Neelanjan has received the best paper at the "International Conference on Environmental Sustainability and Climate Change 2023 (ICESCC 2023)" organized by NIT Meghalaya.
