The Institute has set up an “OBC Cell” to cater to the needs and complaints of any OBC students/ employees of the Institute. The information to contact the OBC cell is made available on the institute website www.nitsikkim.ac.in for a such party who feels aggrieved.

There is a total of 717 students are currently studying in the Institute and out of which 217 students belong to the OBC community. The Institute promotes harmony and unity among all its stakeholder; the Institute has not received any complaints of discrimination against the OBC community in the Institute to date.
